What is Thool Rajma? | Brownish speckled cranberry beans. Thool translates to egg, which means these are egg shaped and smooth in texture. |
How do you cook it? | Soak overnight or at least for 6 hours and pressure cook with water (usually 3 times above the level of beans). Use them to make spicy gravies with or without onion tomato or Indian style burritos. |
What does it taste like? | Rich and creamy after boiling, melts as you bite into. |
Is it good for me? | Rice source of dietary fibre, iron and proteins. |
Finally found the rajma where all beans cook uniformly. The cooked rajma is soft and creamy and melts in the mouth. Very happy with my purchase.
