The process of making bronzeware goes through many artisans who are specialized in a particular technique. This handcrafted artisanal work involves Khar – the smith, Naqash – the engraver, Zarcod – the gilder, Roshangar – the polisher and Charakgar – the cleaner or finisher. In Kashmiri Pandit households till date, meals are served in brass plates placed on a small wooden table or mat on the floor, in front of which the diner sits.

We're all about the culture and cuisine, it's what ties us back to our roots. Having visited my ancestral home in Kashmir, it got me closer to things I took for granted. Like other regions in our country, some of the exquisite things Kashmir has to offer remain unknown, and I wish to bring all that and more to all of you.
