|What is Asafoetida or Heeng?||Dried and processed gum resin of Ferula plant. Brownish cream coloured crystals with a hard n brittle texture.|
|How do you cook it?||Add about 30-35 grams of crystal in 1 litre of water and store in a glass bottle. Add a spoonful of this solution to your curries and gravies.|
|What does it taste like?||Tastes reminiscent to leeks and onions. Has a pungent smell which goes away during cooking.|

a very little amount is needed for sufficient flavour in the dish. only availability in powdery texture would be more appreciated than the large granule form. excellent product nevertheless.
